Join the Aquila Crew
Our business growth means opportunity for talented team players.
Although our team has grown largely by referral through tourism industry contacts, we are always interested in hearing from hard-working and fun-loving individuals who have a vision for melding their personal and professional goals with our company’s objectives. Although education and experience are assets, Aquila also hires for attitude and drive – so be creative!
Seasonal Team Members
Aquila’s growth also means that we often require new team members to fill an increasing number of seasonal positions each year, including
- Tour Guides
- Pier-Side Team Members
Each winter, we assess our need for tour guides for the coming season. If you are interested in one of these positions, please send an e-mail to Sam indicating why you would like to be a tour guide and what skills you have that lend themselves to this position. This is casual employment, ideal for retired professionals, and requires a flexible schedule from May to October, excellent communication skills, and a love of people. And while not necessary, fluency in languages other than English is always an asset! Since starting to host ships from TUI, AIDA and MSC, we are now seeing demands for German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French-speaking guides and interpreters.
Pier-Side Team Members
With our growing cruise business, Aquila is seeking individuals to work with our pier-side team on cruise ship days. Roles pier-side can vary, and include managing transportation, dispatching tours, communicating with guides, providing information to guests, and handling pier-side tour sales. These positions are part-time, working cruise ship days from May to October. If you are interested in one of these positions, please contact Sam.
"We did the above excursion with Paula on 3 October. She is an outstanding guide. In fact, this was the best guided excursion we had for the entire trip. You could tell she had been a teacher. With her bag of displays to her vibrant attitude she made the trip very informative".... "She made sure to keep us informed of all the activities and what to expect. St. Martins and the Sea Caves was fascinating and the seafood chowder was out of this world."

Paula our tour guide made this experience both enriching and entertaining. Paula has an absolute wealth of knowledge about the area and her overall demeanor and approach significantly contributed to our enjoyment. There are tour guides and then there are people who leave a lasting positive impression and make an experience truly memorable. Paula most definitely is this kind of individual and she is to be highly commended.

What a fantastic day, the Hopewell Rocks are amazing and the guide at the rocks was very informative. Our tour guide was Ron Fowlie he was very interesting and informative and he was dress in the costume of the early settlers. Would definitely recommend this tour and tour guide.
