Join the Aquila Crew
Our business growth means opportunity for talented team players.
Although our team has grown largely by referral through tourism industry contacts, we are always interested in hearing from hard-working and fun-loving individuals who have a vision for melding their personal and professional goals with our company’s objectives. Although education and experience are assets, Aquila also hires for attitude and drive – so be creative!
Seasonal Team Members
Aquila’s growth also means that we often require new team members to fill an increasing number of seasonal positions each year, including
- Tour Guides
- Pier-Side Team Members
Each winter, we assess our need for tour guides for the coming season. If you are interested in one of these positions, please send an e-mail to Sam indicating why you would like to be a tour guide and what skills you have that lend themselves to this position. This is casual employment, ideal for retired professionals, and requires a flexible schedule from May to October, excellent communication skills, and a love of people. And while not necessary, fluency in languages other than English is always an asset! Since starting to host ships from TUI, AIDA and MSC, we are now seeing demands for German, Itlaian, Portuguese and French-speaking guides and translators.
Pier-Side Team Members
With our growing cruise business, Aquila is seeking individuals to work with our pier-side team on cruise ship days. Roles pier-side can vary, and include managing transportation, dispatching tours, communicating with guides, providing information to guests, and handling pier-side tour sales. These positions are part-time, working cruise ship days from May to October. If you are interested in one of these positions, please contact Sam.
Aquila is one of the best tour operators that we work with anywhere in the world, and they are excellent models to which other tour operators can aspire.

Outstanding trip with Bev to Granite Town Farms, St. George, New Brunswick for a great wild blueberry education and tasting of many delicious goodies. If you can't make it there - but want to have tasty and unique gifts - you can't go wrong with their blueberry/lime salsa or their blueberry vinaigrette. Stock up! Google Granite Town Farms for more info. Bev made the entire trip educational and fun. Highly recommend this excursion.
My husband and I took the Top 10 of Saint John. What a wonderful tour. Diane was the best tour guide we have had in years! Nothing better than seeing the sights and learning about the area from someone who loves the area so much. Thank you Diane!
Our tour guide, Bonnie, was the best tour guide we have ever had on a Princess Cruise shore tour. Our shore excursion was Tuesday Sept. 29th and she provided us with the most insightful experience on the people, the culture, the history and the sights of Saint John, New Brunswick. We really appreciate the job well done by Bonnie.
